Rich in Tradition Stallions of Birmingham Part of the First UFL Season Are One of Four USFL Clubs
Birmingham Stallions, the two-time defending USFL champions, are one of four USFL teams vying for berths in the 2024 UFL season.

The decision to include the Birmingham Stallions as one of the four USFL teams in the league’s upcoming spring merger with the XFL to form the new UFL was an obvious one.

The Stallions were not only among the top teams in the USFL rebirth, but in 2022 the city functioned as the center of the league.

The Stallions are one of four USFL teams in the new league, along with the Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers. They have a USFL Conference game scheduled.

In the South Division Championship game of the playoffs, the Stallions defeated the New Orleans Breakers 47–22. The Stallions won the championship the next weekend by defeating the Michigan Panthers 28–12.

Alex McGough, the quarterback, set a modern-era record for the USFL by throwing for 25 touchdowns and 2,507 yards, earning him the title of MVP for the league. He later signed a contract to play for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers after being named the MVP of the USFL Championship Game.

Current History of the USFL
Over the two years of the USFL’s rebirth, no team had more success than the Stallions, who took home both of the league’s championships. Although he led them to the 2022 championship after missing the majority of the season
