Fans across the nation are hoping for the Chiefs to lose their first-ever road playoff game under Mahomes, as they are being treated disrespectfully nationally going into the Divisional Round.
The Kansas City Chiefs are playing in a new league. With Patrick Mahomes starting at quarterback for the first time, they will be traveling during the playoffs for the first time in his career. Additionally, they are underdogs for the first time this season, and it appears that the majority of American fan bases are rooting for their downfall. Is this what being a villain in their time is like?
The Chiefs have been the most successful team remaining in the postseason. That will gnash away at the hopes of other teams and their supporters for comparable accomplishments. It’s strange behavior to pray for that person’s downfall, but what’s even stranger is that he says he’s supporting a division rival. It would be difficult to locate a Chiefs player who said they would be cheering for the Broncos, Raiders, or Chargers in a postseason game.
