Hello to all of you. We haven’t discussed staff and site updates in a while.

You may recall that we bid Brandon Kiley farewell at the end of November. Not forever, mind you—he’s still around. He even returned to record the Cotton Bowl podcast! However, he is no longer a part of the Rock M Nation leadership team.

It makes all of us sad. Though his timing wasn’t ideal, I still love BK and will always be grateful for what he accomplished here at Rock M Nation. Rather than making a snap choice about BK’s replacement and his position here, we decided to ride with the squad we had until we were certain about the

respond.

I believe we have the solution, which is wonderful news for both Rock M’s future and its readers. I’m excited to present not one, but TWO new writers today who I think will play a significant role in our future football coverage. Come meet them!

First of all, let me extend a warm welcome to Chad Moller, who comes to Rock M after playing for the Missouri Tigers for twenty-five years. His name may be familiar to you because he oversaw the media and communications office of the department of athletics. His name might have come up as a spokesperson after a negative incident because, in his own words, “nobody else would want to talk to reporters.”

During his time as an out-of-state J-School student at Columbia University from 1987 to 1991, Moller developed a deep affection for the Tigers. In 1992, he was given his chance at Mizzou as an overworked and underpaid intern. He would stay a mainstay at Tiger Athletics until March 2020, when everything went awry.

Moller worked for the final three years as the media representative for Mizzou great Norm Stewart (he says Stormin’ Norman fired him at least three times during that period), and then he moved on to manage football communications. There, he assisted in the promotion of numerous Tigers who were named to the first team of the All-America team, including Chase Daniel, the 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist for Mizzou. For his media guides, he was recognized with a few industry best-in-nation honors and inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2022! He will start writing essays for Rock M about Tiger football and other national issues from a Mizzou perspective. We may eventually give him a mic down if he makes it through the covert probationary period that he is unaware of.the path to experiment with podcasting.
