Though the team is talented, how good is their coach?

Tom Johnson leads all NHL coaches with at least 100 games played in terms of winning percentage; he is one win ahead of Sheldon Keefe of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

After a dismal conclusion to the previous campaign, a strong training camp might spark Sheldon Keefe’s final best chance to lead his team to the postseason.

The head coach of the Maple Leafs, Sheldon Keefe, stops by Tim and Friends to discuss their upcoming playoff series against the Habs. The Leafs and Canadiens are scheduled to face off in the postseason for the first time since 1979.

Sheldon Keefe, the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, did not enjoy wearing blue and white even though he was raised in the Greater Toronto Area. “I was a longtime Penguins fan and a huge Mario Lemieux fan, so I kind of bounced around with my favorite players.”

Hayley Wickenheiser is the assistant director of player development for the Leafs. She was praised by coach Sheldon Keefe during a Sunday Q&A session with Aeroplan members.
