After allowing nine goals to the Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens’ defensive ranking fell from 24th to 28th, continuing a recent trend of giving up a lot of goals. To help with the defensive problems, they have called up Arber Xhekaj from the AHL. Against physical opponents like the Ottawa Senators, Xhekaj’s style of play is thought to be advantageous.
