Three-time World Series champion Bruce Bochy is appointed manager of the Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers announced on Friday that they have appointed Bruce Bochy to take Chris Woodward’s place as manager.

The team announced that Bochy has consented to a three-year deal that will span the 2023–2025 campaign.

Bochy, who oversaw the 2010 Giants’ World Series victory over the Rangers, is anticipated to be introduced at a press conference on Monday at 11 a.m.

Rangers Executive Vice President & General Manager Chris Young said, “I want to welcome Bruce and Kim Bochy to the Texas Rangers on behalf of the entire organization.” “Bruce was one of the most prosperous and well-liked managers in Major League Baseball during his 25 years with San Diego and San Francisco. His teams have always played with their all because of his cool, collected demeanor and exceptional ability to connect and communicate with players, coaches, and staff. He is unrivaled in both his integrity and game knowledge.”

Bruce was clearly passionate and excited about getting back to the dugout throughout the interview process. It soon became evident that he was the best person to guide our team as we carry on establishing a championship culture in Arlington,” Young stated.
