Numerous Top-10 Players for Michigan Football in 2023.

The Wolverines’ upcoming roster is loaded from top to bottom, as all Maize & Blue supporters are well aware of. Given that Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines just wrapped up a 13-1 Big Ten title run a season ago, the Michigan football players return more production than any other Big Ten team this autumn in 2023.

Pro Football Focus compiled a list of the top-10 returning players at each position group earlier this week in anticipation of the 2023 season starting this autumn. Eight Michigan Wolverines—five on offense and three on defense—are included in PFF’s ranking. PFF has high expectations for the following Wolverines this season.

According to PFF’s ranking, Michigan’s offense features five players ranked in the top 10 for their position groups; in fact, one of the Wolverines’ most recent additions, a transfer, made the list. Who PFF is high on is as follows:

Pro Football Focus is a huge fan of Michigan’s rising junior quarterback; in fact, they are the only ones who don’t seem to be Michigan Wolverines rivals. J.J. McCarthy had an impressive season last year, passing for over 2,700 yards and 22 touchdowns with just two interceptions. McCarthy is now looking to create waves and possibly break some UM records as a full-time starter. McCarthy is among the top-15 favorites to win the 2023 Heisman Trophy going into the season; no Michigan football player has won the trophy since Charles Woodson in 1997.
