Following an altercation with Erin Woodson, Caitlin Clark called out for a “two-hand push.”

The Iowa women’s basketball team defeated the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons 98-59 on Friday in the Gulf Coast Showcase. Midway through the game, Caitlin Clark was called for an intentional foul for a “two-hand push” on her defender Erin Woodson.

Before the half, Clark, 21, made contact with Woodson while attempting to create space in order to bring the ball up the court. Directly in front of the Mastodons bench, more substantial contact occurred, infuriating the PF.

Following the second incident, Woodson—the daughter of former Division I men’s college basketball referee Tracy Woodson and World Series-winning third baseman Tracy Woodson—hit the floor after Clark called an offensive foul. Nevertheless, the referees upgraded the call to an intentional foul after looking over the play on the courtside monitor.
