The Wolverines are left to consider their options as Michigan’s dream season comes to an end.

Florida’s Miami Gardens — A nightmare concluded the season of dreams. This year for Michigan, aside from a single afternoon spent in East Lansing, everything went smoothly. The season took off in the best possible way, culminating in a Big Ten championship and a victorious regular-season finale against Ohio State.

Despite the outcome, coach Jim Harbaugh referred to it as one of the best years in school history. However, Friday’s loss to Georgia, like many other College Football Playoff semifinals, highlighted the true divide in the sport between the top programs and the teams that are merely enjoying what could turn out to be a memorable one-off year if success is not maintained.

Following their defeat by Georgia, Michigan players leave the field in despair.

“These guys never give up,” Harbaugh remarked. “This football team has a lot of resolve, and as I mentioned earlier, it feels like a start to me. It’s a very resilient group.” It seems like the start.

Think of it as not being received in a humiliating 34–11 loss that was practically over halfway through the second half.

When the Wolverines were named the best offensive line in the country, Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis said, “We knew the Joe Moore Award and they totally deserved that.” However, we merely intended to demonstrate our physical strength and dominance up front. To be sure, we put them to the test and presented them with a challenge. Being a more physical and commanding front was our strategy from the start. The battle took place at the line of scrimmage.
