The Detroit Lions’ offensive line is PFF’s top-ranked unit.

It was clear that the Lions offensive line was playing some of its best football together in the second half of the previous campaign. Jared Goff was standing straight up and the run game was working.

There were questions about right guard going into this season and who Detroit would start. Nonetheless, the Lions have performed admirably this season by experimenting with different lineups at both guard and center.

Graham Glasgow has performed admirably for Detroit, playing both guard and center. In the meantime, rookie Colby Sorsdal played 86 snaps and earned his first career start against the Raiders. He was also a member of the group that opened the path for the Lions to run for more than 220 yards on the ground in their game against Las Vegas.

Even though Frank Ragnow, Jonah Jackson, and Halapoulivaati Vaitai were injured, they were still able to make it work with Kayode Awosika and Dan Skipper. Although the players and Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker’s leadership deserve most of the credit, offensive line coach Hank Fraley deserves special recognition. One of the league’s most underappreciated coaches, he has his team playing at a high level. It makes no difference who is playing.
