Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas swap quarterbacks in the first UFL trade.

The Birmingham Stallions sent Alijah Holder to the San Antonio Brahmas in exchange for Bubba Bolden in the first UFL trade since the XFL-USFL merger.

As of the first week of the free-agency period, the UFL had signed over 100 players. Additionally, it took a week for the teams to begin trading.

The league declared on Monday night that defensive back Bubba Bolden was traded by the Birmingham Stallions to the San Antonio Brahmas in exchange for defensive back Alijah Holder.

The Stallions originally selected Holder in last week’s UFL Super Dispersal Draft’s second round. In 2023, he was a member of the XFL Seattle Sea Dragons, recording 25 tackles for the season. Holder participated in the 2022 USFL season with the Houston Gamblers, recording 19 tackles and one interception. He played for a while with the Denver Broncos in the NFL.
