Kelce and the defense help the Chiefs defeat the Ravens and return to the Super Bowl.

MVP for his amazing regular season, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has saved his best play for the postseason.

Alongside All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, Mahomes defeated the top-seeded Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship Game to win his second straight postseason game away from home. Seeking their third championship, the reigning champion Chiefs make their fourth trip to the Super Bowl since 2019.

As it has for much of the season, the Chiefs defense took the lead after giving up a touchdown on Baltimore’s second possession. L’Jarius Sneed’s fumble recovery in the end zone early in the fourth quarter was the most significant play of the game.

The Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl, despite appearing more exposed during the majority of the regular season than they have since Mahomes took over as starting quarterback in 2018.

The Chiefs defeated the Ravens with a strong defensive strategy after scoring touchdowns on their opening two plays.
