NBA: Despite Zach LaVine’s 51-point scoring spree, the Detroit Pistons defeat the Chicago Bulls.

The Detroit Pistons may not be as good as they were a season ago.

The Detroit Pistons are generating a lot of buzz. The franchise that has been largely forgotten for more than ten years is receiving praise for its restoration from national media, and the fan base is excited. The Q rating is also rising.

Additionally, the Pistons may not be the same team as they were a year ago.

Anything listed above is possible. Detroit has gained some momentum in the estimation of being a team that could flirt with a play-in game and possibly even a postseason berth. I simply fail to see it.

I feel much more love for the Pistons now than I did a year ago, which is good for the long-term viability of the team. Including gifted individuals like Jalen.

In order to have a war chest for the upcoming offseasons and an impressive amount of flexibility as it considers big free agent signings, possible trades, and long-term investments in the development of its young players, the team further cleaned up its books.

The Pistons had the third-worst record in the NBA and were the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference the previous season. Upon examining this team’s skill level, its heavy dependence on youth, and the vulnerabilities that its opponents will be able to take advantage of, I see… I see the sixth(?) worst record in the NBA and the second-worst team in the East.
