Russell Wilson could be beneficial to the Denver Broncos in 2024.

Russell Wilson can play quarterback efficiently under Sean Payton’s tutelage, and the team might benefit from having him start in 2024, depending on the situation. Although it would be difficult to accept the financial consequences, cutting Russell Wilson this upcoming offseason is still a possibility.

However, the Denver Broncos might gain by holding Russell Wilson as the starting quarterback for an additional season, depending on where they select in the 2024 NFL Draft. Wilson hasn’t been the answer, so it doesn’t sound all that inspiring right now, but in the long run, it might make sense.

The defense has been allowing just 22.3 points per game over the last several weeks, and they are currently playing pretty good football. They are undoubtedly performing better than they did in their previous four games, where they allowed almost 40 points per game, including 70 points against the Miami Dolphins.

Well, the offense has been fine, and the defense will eventually likely return to a middle ground position. Although it hasn’t been perfect, the Broncos currently feel like a six-win squad in 2023, which would probably eliminate them from contention for Caleb Williams and Drake Maye, the two quarterbacks predicted to be selected first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
