HOUSTON ROCKETS VS. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES PREDICTION.

The Rockets are no strangers to this kind of performance; they have won all season long thanks to excellent defense. With a 10-9 record, the Rockets have fought their way back above.500. In their most recent game, they defeated the Spurs 93-82, scoring 175 points in total. They only let up 101 points against the Thunder and 106 points against the Nuggets in the previous games. With an average of 105.6 points allowed per game, the Rockets are allowing the fewest points per game in the league and are currently ranked second in the league for defensive rating.

Conversely, the Grizzlies have a respectable defensive record. With a defensive rating of 11th, the Grizzlies are allowing just 112 points per game to opponents. As a superb perimeter defender, Derrick Rose has taken over for Ja Morant in the interim until his return. But the Grizzlies have had offensive difficulties, primarily as a result of Ja Morant’s continued suspension. The Grizzlies haven’t looked like the same team without Morant, but he returns next week. Furthermore, due to an illness, Desmond Bane, the Grizzlies’ top scorer with 24.8 points per game, is now doubtful for tonight’s game.

Additionally, these two teams prefer slower-moving situations. In terms of pace, the Rockets are ranked 28th, and the Grizzlies are ranked 19. The Rockets gradually open up their offense, stuffing the offensive lines of their opponents in the process. Both defenses rank in the top 10 in terms of points allowed, and neither offense is especially explosive right now. It makes sense why this total was so low to begin with and is now falling. Here, I would rather lower the under to 210.
