Packers request DC interview with Ravens ILBs coach Zach Orr

Another defensive lineman for the Ravens is being considered by the Packers to be their next defensive coordinator.

Green Bay has requested to speak with inside linebackers coach Zach Orr for the position, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media.

Orr, 31, has been the ILBs coach with the Ravens for the past two seasons and is currently on his second term as a head coach. He spent the 2021 season coaching Jacksonville’s outside linebackers before coming back to the team.

After an injury ended Orr’s playing career with the organization, he joined Baltimore as a defensive analyst. Orr recorded 133 total tackles in 2016—six for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and three interceptions—earning him a spot on the second team of the All-Pro selection.

After the team’s postseason loss to San Francisco, Green Bay fired former defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who had spent three years with the organization. It was previously reported on Tuesday that the Packers would also like to speak with Dennard Wilson, the defensive backs coach with the Ravens.
