If they don’t come back, four players Las Vegas Raiders supporters won’t miss in 2024.

The Las Vegas Raiders will have an exciting offseason in 2024 as they try to maintain the momentum they had at the end of the 2023 campaign. The Raiders have a lot of decisions to make this offseason regarding front office hires and coaching staff, but in the end, it is the players who must perform when it matters most.

The Silver and Black experienced another wild season in 2023 as they went through three different starting quarterbacks, lost important players to injury, and even fired their head coach in the middle of the game. Now that a new administration is poised to take over, the Raiders must concentrate on acquiring the appropriate pieces to round out a roster capable of contending for.

The Raiders did not receive much from Brian Hoyer or Jimmy Garoppolo.
Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler’s major offseason decision was to replace quarterback Derek Carr, a nine-year starter. In his place, McDaniels chose to add Jimmy Garoppolo and Brian Hoyer, two guys he was familiar with from his time as a Patriot.

Although Jimmy G was declared the team’s undisputed starter early on, it was obvious that his time in that capacity was over. When McDaniels turned to Hoyer following Garoppolo’s injury in the middle of the season, Hoyer also appeared out of place. Now that McDaniels is gone, both men are probably out as the Raiders look to change the quarterback position this offseason if they do not retain Aidan O’Connell.

It’s time for the Raiders to let Jerry Tillery go.
Since players like Adam Butler and Bilal Nichols are expected to become free agents this offseason, defensive tackle is also probably going to undergo a rebuild. Jerry Tillery is one of those players who will not be a free agent this offseason, but out of the three, he may be the one the Raiders decide to cut loose over the coming months.

Although Tillery was a former first-round pick and is very talented, I don’t think he will be a factor for the Raiders in the position group going forward. Although he will find employment elsewhere, I’m sure Raiders supporters won’t be too upset if they decide to restructure the position group without him.
