All five-star players that the Oklahoma Sooners made offers to in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The 2023 initial transfer window is now closed, and the national signing day for 2023 is quickly approaching. The Oklahoma Sooners have signed 25 players, so they’re probably done for 2023. For Brent Venables and his team, the 2024 recruiting cycle now takes center stage and is given priority.

Oklahoma will undoubtedly assemble another top 5–10 class after assembling the No. 8 class in 2022 in less than two months and the No. 5 class in their first full season with the Sooners.

The first player whose name seems to be approaching a commitment is Michael Hawkins, a four-star quarterback. Over the course of the next year, he could see an uptick in his recruiting profile. If the Sooners can secure his commitment by the end of January, that could tip the dominoes for a number of other important players.

Of the 27 five-star prospects listed in the 247Sports composite rankings, 21 have received offers from the Sooners. Thirteen of those players are positioned on the ball’s defensive end. According to Brent Venables, the two who are listed as athletes will probably be defensive players if the 2023 class is any guide. There are three wide receivers, two quarterbacks, and one tight end among those five-star offers.

Out of the 13 players who are only listed as defenders, three play cornerback, one plays safety, and eight play linebacker.

With Williams Nwaneri, David Stone, and K.J. Bolden, Oklahoma seems to be doing well. They are in the game, but they will need to put in some effort to earn their commitments. Regarding the others, nothing is final until it is, as Peyton Bowen demonstrated. By the time of the early signing period or national signing day, a commitment made today might change.

Here is a look at every five-star prospect that the Oklahoma Sooners have extended an offer to.
