The NHL All-Star Weekend has arrived, and Toronto, the center of hockey, is hosting the best players in the league. The skills competition is held on deck Friday before the game on Saturday afternoon.

But first, the teams need to be chosen before the All-Star game starts. The league decided to reinstate a historical format, with a player draft being used to select the four All-Star teams for the 2024 competition.

The NHL has four designated captains who will choose their 11-man rosters ahead of the festivities, instead of choosing teams based on divisions. All of the All-Star players will be present at Scotiabank Arena tonight for that selection process to determine which.

Hughes Team
At the 2024 NHL All-Star Game, the Hughes brothers are pictured together. Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes and Devils center Jack Hughes share leadership of the team. Despite being named team captain, Jack, a star from New Jersey, will not play in the game as he recovers from an injury.
