Report: The Alabama Crimson Tide football star player is been suspended from all sports from a placing bets against….
Tomorrow at Neville Arena, the No. 12 Auburn Tigers take on the No. 16 Alabama Crimson Tide.
Before the game, what was said by Bruce Pearl, the head coach of Auburn?
“Alabama is one of the best offensive teams in the country,” Pearl stated. “I believe they score the most points in the nation. They score roughly 90 points a night on average. Ranking fourth nationally, they make almost 11.5 threes per game. They score more than 12 points in their victories, and because they can all shoot so effectively, they are a highly dangerous squad. Five men who can shoot the ball can be placed on the floor at once.”
Pearl discussed how significant this rivalry’s basketball version has grown to be.
“I believe Auburn and Alabama have won seven different types of championships in the last two years, whether they were regular season or tournament titles,” Pearl stated. It’s either Alabama or Auburn. That is something of which we are proud. There is currently a point in SEC history when it has occurred. If it stays the case, that’s fine with me.”
Denver Jones, a guard for Auburn, has improved recently. Pearl discussed what he had observed in him.
“Yes, his offensive productivity improves us. He makes plays with the ball in his hands or makes shots,” Pearl stated. “But unless he initiates the conversation, we’re not even there. He will be the main Sears covers, along with KD. In the league, Sears is the top scorer. He could win the league’s player of the year award. Our chances of victory are significantly higher if we can keep Mark Sears subdued. Our backcourt, Denver Jones, and KD Johnson will all have a lot to say about that.”
The cutoff time is 6 p.m. CT. The Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be viewed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app, and the television broadcast is available on ESPN.
