Report: The st louis cardinals star player is been suspended from all sports from a placing bets against….
The St. Louis Cardinals appear prepared to make a comeback in 2024 after completing their primary goal of retooling the pitching staff this winter.
After adding right-handed reliever Kenyan Middleton to their roster, the Cardinals may have done adjusting their roster, but there’s always space for growth.
The Cardinals should take into consideration a former Major League Baseball player who is making waves in the overseas leagues.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi stated on Saturday that “Aaron Altherr, still a free agent, has had an amazing season in (the Mexican Pacific League) and he’s continued producing at the Caribbean Series.”
During the winter, Altherr played 27 games for the Hermosillo Orange Growers of the Mexican Pacific League, batting.265 with 13 extra-base hits (seven home runs), 27 RBIs, and a 1.026 OPS.
Since making his final MLB appearance with the New York Mets in 2019, the 33-year-old has participated in a number of international leagues. After six seasons of big league action, Altherr was unable to sign a contract with a team, primarily as a result of a drop in his play.
The outfielder, who was born in Germany, has been making waves in his recent international ventures and could earn a spot back on the show. Altherr played 82 games in the Frontier League this past season with the Tri-City Valley Cats, compiling a.294/.385/.555 line with 21 home runs and 70 RBIs.
It’s easy to say that Altherr is having a fantastic season and that the Cardinals may use him for a steal in exchange for a minor-league deal to provide their position player group some much-needed depth.
