Maxx Crosby of the Raiders ‘fired up’ The team’s head coach is Antonio Pierce.

Midway through the season, the Las Vegas Raiders made a change in leadership, removing Josh McDaniels from his position and installing Antonio Pierce in his place for the balance of the campaign.

Even though it appeared that the Raiders would not make the playoffs, Pierce was 5-4 in his first season as the team’s interim head coach and the team finished 8-9. Defense end Maxx Crosby was one of the players who benefited from Pierce’s coaching philosophy.

Fox News Digital reported that the three-time Pro Bowler was “fired up” to have Pierce as his head coach.

“It’s tough when you get coaches from all different types of backgrounds,” said Crosby. It’s easy to show up to work and not have a good time when you have a true leader—a man—someone who is well-liked by everyone in the building’s locker room. He discusses it frequently. A group of adult men are playing a game meant for children.”

It’s obviously a very serious matter. It is imperative that you take your work very seriously. It does not imply that you are not having fun. It doesn’t mean you don’t arrive at work full of enthusiasm and prepared to enjoy yourself while performing at the top of your game. He teaches that he wants all people to be in harmony with the same energy and frequency. And those are the kind of guys we already have, and those are the guys he’s bringing in. Thus, we will simply continue to develop and advance this project.”
