“I am worthy to be traded” Toronto Maple Leafs star insisting to leave the team due to…

It seems that the Maple Leafs are still searching for a defenseman in advance of the NHL trade deadline, which is set for March 8.

NHL expert Pierre LeBrun revealed on Tuesday’s episode of TSN’s expert Trading that defenseman Chris Tanev of the Calgary Flames is valued at a second-round pick and an asset.

But a team like Toronto will have to shell out more money because they will be without its second-round pick for the next three seasons.

As previously said, the current price from Calgary is, as far as we know, a second-round selection plus an additional asset, which may or may not be acceptable to certain teams. However, LeBrun noted that the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are still interested in Chris Tanev, will not have a second-round pick for the next three years.

“So, I feel Calgary has made it quite obvious to them that if they want Chris Tanev, the price is a first-round selection. It’s unclear if Leafs center Brad Treliving is tough enough to pay it or not.”
