2024 NHL All-Star Game will be hosted by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 2024 NHL All-Star Game will return to Canada and be held at Scotiabank Arena on February 2-3 of that year.

For the first time since 2000, the Toronto Maple Leafs will host the event in 2019, the league announced. Toronto will be the second-most frequent host after Montreal, who last did so in 2009. This will be the event’s ninth hosting. Back in 2012, the Ottawa Senators were the final Canadian team to host the game.

The World All-Stars defeated the opposition 9–4 in the 50th edition of the tournament, with Pavel Bure taking home the MVP honors.

Last week, the PHF All-Star Game was held in Toronto at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly known as Maple Leafs Gardens. The 2016 NBA All-Star Game was the last significant non-hockey all-star game that Toronto as a city hosted; the Toronto FC hosted the Major League Soccer event in 2008.

During the all-star festivities, the NHL has recently moved to warmer climates; five of the last six events have been held in Los Angeles, Tampa Bay, San Jose, Vegas, and Florida. With a windchill low of minus thirty, Toronto experienced bitterly cold conditions yesterday during the NHL’s skills competition.

It’s safe to assume that the capital of Ontario won’t host any beach-related events in the upcoming year.

The Boston Bruins lead the Toronto Maple Leafs by 13 points at the moment in the Atlantic Division. With a 5-4-1 streak over the last ten games, the team has a 31-13-8 record this season. For the first time since the 2004 NHL lockout, Toronto is hoping to advance past the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Perhaps hosting the 2024 event could turn around the Leafs’ fortunes, as they defeated Ottawa 4-2 in a first-round series back in 2000.
