Here is the spot on ESPN’s Top 100 list where Celtics players are ranked.
Four players from the Boston Celtics were listed in ESPN’s yearly player rankings.

As one might expect, Jayson Tatum is the Celtic with the highest ranking on this list. Tatum was ranked sixth in the NBA by ESPN, surpassing players like Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant.

Tim Bontemps of ESPN wrote that Tatum “continues to develop into one of the most well-rounded wing players in the league.” “He became the kind of two-way wing that every NBA team would love to have—he eclipsed the 30 points per game mark for the first time in his career, improved his ability to get to the foul line, and continued to be a solid defensive player.”

Tatum came into this season with a lot of accolades. He was selected as the NBA’s best small forward in the general manager survey, and it is anticipated that he will compete for the league’s MVP this year. The only thing preventing Tatum from being ranked higher is his inability to lead his team to an NBA championship, which is one of the few things experts doubt about him.

Tatum “is probably a lock for the top five on this list next year if [the Celtics] can break through and win a title after years of late-postseason oustings,” according to Bontemps.

Tatum won’t, however, be the only leader of this team. Jaylen Brown, who ESPN ranked 19th on their list, will be joining him. Karl-Anthony Towns and Kawhi Leonard, two former All-NBA players, are ranked lower than him; if his 3-point shooting percentage had returned to what it was two years ago, he would probably be ranked higher still.

“It would do a ton for his efficiency and make an already potent Celtics offense even more difficult to stop if [Brown] can get back to around 40%,” Bontemps wrote.
