Iowa’s Caitlin Clark is ready to create history on Thursday when the No. 4 Hawkeyes (22-3 overall, 11-2 in the Big Ten) play conference rival Michigan (16-9, 7-6), with the all-time NCAA women’s scoring record firmly in her sights.

The women’s NCAA career scoring record of 3,527 points, set by Kelsey Plum of Washington, is only eight points away from being broken by Clark.

In an unexpected 82-79 loss to Nebraska on Sunday, Clark scored 31 points, which is roughly in line with her season average of 32.2 points per game. For the first time in her career, she was kept scoreless in the fourth quarter despite having a good chance to break the mark during the game.
