With Shohei Ohtani gone, the Angels must revamp their roster.

Just after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Raymond Diaz, a 33-year-old Angels fan, arrived at Angel Stadium, but the enormous poster of Shohei Ohtani had already disappeared. The two-way star had announced he would sign a $700 million, ten-year contract with the Dodgers approximately five hours prior.

In front of the glossy window panes that the poster’s absence had left behind, Diaz said to The Times, “[I’m here] just to see Ohtani’s poster one last time.” Now that he’s gone, it’s official.

It wasn’t just Diaz who made an appearance.

Calvin Horash, a 24-year-old lifelong Angels fan, said, “I just wanted to go look at the team shop and also just feel the vibe of the stadium.” “I was curious about the atmosphere, which is surprisingly depressing. Simply a group of individuals strolling around and capturing images.
