A retrospective of the Chicago Bulls’ NBA trade deadline in 2024.

It was generally anticipated that the Chicago Bulls would have a busy day on the 2024 NBA trade deadline. However, that is not at all what transpired with the Bulls, as Chicago’s front office chose to do nothing at the deadline.

Why didn’t the team cancel a few contracts that were still in demand at the last minute? Due to their expiring contracts, players like Andre Drummond and DeMar DeRozan may be able to take this offseason without playing. When you consider the fervor to get 3-and-D specialist guard Alex Caruso free, you have to question the reasoning behind this (ineffective) course of action.

Following the 2024 trade deadline, Chicago beat writers KC Johnson, Kevin Anderson of NBC Sports Boston, and Kendall Gill took some time to discuss their observations regarding the Bulls’ front office.
