Following his acceptance of an offer during the July Seminole Showcase, Thomas has been targeted by the Seminoles since last summer. He’s emerged as one of FSU’s top defensive backfield targets in a hurry, since he’ll probably move into the safety spot in college.

Twice this season, the native of Florida traveled back to Tallahassee to watch the Seminoles play at Doak Campbell Stadium. He was present for the victories over Miami and Duke. Recently, Thomas returned to the area for a Junior Day and met with defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, head coach Mike Norvell, and defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr.

In Fort Lauderdale, Thomas performs at American Heritage High School. It is the same program that Surtain Sr. coached before moving on to Florida State and then the Miami Dolphins.

Thomas is a ballhawk who always positions himself for interceptions and pass breakups, therefore there are many positive aspects of his game. He’s athletic, long, and has superb head movement to locate the ball in the air. Thomas is not just a football player; as a sophomore, he set a record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.56 seconds.

According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back is ranked as the 111th overall prospect, the 13th CB, and the 16th recruit in the state of Florida for the 2025 class.
