ESPN REPORT: Another Mega Star Commits To Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers have consented to a deal that would change the franchise during the last two off-seasons. The Packers traded Aaron Rodgers away in 2023 and moved on from Davnate Adams in 2022. Even though the offseason is still young, it doesn’t seem like the Packers will consent to a huge trade for the third offseason in a row, at least not just yet.
The Green Bay Packers Remain Firm on Their Huge Trade Offer

General Manager Brian Gutekunst says that Alexander’s suspension won’t have an impact on his future with the team. According to Jason Hirschhorn of the Packers news/analysis website The Leap, that hasn’t altered:
Hirschhorn stated, “Jaire Alexander is still under contract for several more seasons, and it looks the All-Pro corner will return for 2024 after some uncertainty about his future in Green Bay following a team-issued suspension prior to a crucial game.”
Despite injuries and a suspension that curtailed his sixth NFL season, Alexander made seven starts and had 27 tackles.
The two-time All-Pro, whose contract is now set until 2026, will receive a $8 million roster bonus if he stays in Green Bay by March 20.
Alexander’s limited play this season was caused by a back ailment that kept him out of action for three games, a shoulder injury that kept him out of action for six games, and a ban for declaring himself the team captain before to the Carolina Panthers’ December 24 coin toss.
Still, the standout cornerback will be a vital component of the Packers defense for many years to come. What his responsibilities will be under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will be interesting to watch.
