Report: The Los Angeles Rams key Player is Been Suspended From All Sports For Placing a Bets Against…

Among the numerous coaches who left the Rams this summer was Jake Peetz, who joined the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff after serving as the team’s pass game specialist. In his place, the Rams brought on Nate Scheelhaase, a 33-year-old coach, to collaborate with Mike LaFleur, Sean McVay, and the team’s offensive line.

Though he has only coached at the collegiate level, Scheelhaase has a wealth of coaching knowledge and has coached a variety of position groups during his career. He was a standout athlete in high school and a former collegiate quarterback.

Here are four SCheelhaase-related facts.

1 In 2007, he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Missouri.

Scheelhaase excelled athletically in high school. He was named the 2007 Gatorade Player of the Year at Rockhurst in Missouri, where he captained his team to a perfect 13-0 season and a state championship. In addition to his 1,861 passing yards and 20 passing touchdowns in 2007, he also scored 14 rushing touchdowns in that year.

was sought after by Missouri and Oklahoma before deciding on Illinois

Scheelhaase, a four-star prospect out of high school, was able to remain in his hometown after being recruited by the University of Missouri. Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas were also interested in him, but he chose Illinois and had a prosperous career there.

3 Retains the Illinois record for the most career total yards gained by a player.

He completed his four seasons as Illinois’ starting quarterback with 8,568 yards, 55 touchdowns, and 37 interceptions in the passing game. In addition, he ran for 2,066 yards and 19 touchdowns at Illinois, which ranks him second in school history for rushing yards by a quarterback and third in career passing yards. His name is inscribed in the Illinois record books with 10,634 yards of offense, the most of any player in the school’s history.

4 RBs, WRs, and QBs were Iowa State coaches.

The fact that Scheelhaase had coached a variety of positions was one of the things that attracted McVay to hire him. Before moving to Iowa State, he served as an offensive assistant in 2016 and 2017 and as the running backs coach at Illinois in 2015. He spent a year coaching the running backs at Iowa State, two years coaching the wide receivers, two years coaching both positions, and one year in 2023 coaching the quarterbacks and offensive coordinators.
