Is Five Enough? Which Texas Rangers were included in the MLB Network Top 100?

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager, the top-ranked player from the reigning World Series champions, rose in the MLB Network’s Top 100 Players Right Now rankings for 2024.

How many Texas Rangers are among the top 100 players in the world heading into the 2024 season?

Recently, the MLB Network revealed the answers to those two questions.

Five players from the World Series champions of the previous season are among the top picks going into 2024. Rangers’ No. 6 ranking was highest among all players, and it went to American League MVP runner-up Corey Seager, who almost stole the MVP crown from Shohei Ohtani in the final seconds.

After Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, Seager was ranked as the AL’s second-best player and the best shortstop in baseball. NL MVP and star player for the Atlanta Braves Ronald Acuña Jr. defeated Ohtani and Dodgers all-around player Mookie Betts to take first place.

Marcus Semien was the second-highest second baseman and ranked No. 21 overall. He led the American League in hits. Adolis García, the ALCS MVP and right fielder, came in at number 39 to complete the top 40. First baseman Nathaniel Lowe and right-hander Nathan Eovaldi sneaked into the final ten at Nos. 91 and 98, respectively.
