ESPN REPORT: So Sad, Ohio State Buckeyes football Head Coach Has Been Issued A…

Yesterday, Ole Miss Football welcomed Corey Dennis, a former Ohio State quarterback coach, to their roster of skilled coaches.

This off-season, Lane Kiffin has not only strengthened the Ole Miss squad but also expanded his coaching staff by hiring a number of excellent mentors. The Rebels made good hires in George McDonald, the wide receiver coach, and Joe Cox, the tight ends coach. They hired a new coach yesterday who has a stellar resume.

Formerly, Lane Kiffin was joined by Corey Dennis, the Ohio State quarterbacks coach, as an offensive analyst with the Rebels. After offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien was appointed, Dennis left Ohio State, and at first it appeared like he might be joining Kyle Whittingham at Utah. On3 rumors, however, indicate that he will now be a part of the Ole Miss coaching staff.

Corey Dennis coached players including Justin Fields, C.J. Stroud, and Kyle McCord this season during his four seasons with the Buckeyes. He spent two seasons alongside Stroud, who just finished his rookie season in the NFL and took home the Offensive Rookie of the Year trophy.

The Ole Miss quarterback group, which includes starter Jaxson Dart, may benefit from the appointment. Dart will probably play one more season before joining the NFL in 2025. It would be advantageous for Dart and the other Rebel quarterbacks if Dennis could apply the lessons he learned during his four seasons as Ohio State’s head coach.
