Iowa women’s basketball: Caitlin Clark GOAT debate draws powerful Dick Vitale take

Superstar Caitlin Clark of Iowa responded to her team’s recent comeback victory over Illinois women’s basketball following a loss to Indiana. She is currently only 33 points short from being the all-time leader in women’s basketball.

Now that Clark has made a name for herself in the sports world, her performance is being compared to that of one of the greatest players of all time, Dick Vitale.

Is Caitlin Clark the best player in history for women’s basketball?

Her absence of a championship, in the opinion of veteran ESPN commentator Dick Vitale, is one facet of her career that is being unfairly held against her.

He stated on Twitter that while he respects the opinions of people who believe Clark hasn’t accomplished enough to be called the greatest of all time, he also believes that many players don’t receive the credit they deserve because they don’t have the right teammates to win a title.

He brought up Clark next to Wilt Chamberlain, the all-time great in the men’s game.

The question of who is the greatest of all time in relation to @CaitlinClark22 has been discussed recently. I appreciate the opinions of others, but I don’t think it’s fair to disqualify someone for failing to win a championship. Teams with strength and talent have won championships. Every time I felt like WILT C.
