Hubbard will keep raising his career stats for the remainder of the season after winning the SEC Freshman of the Week award five times already this year. Hubbard scored 32 points, the most conference points, in the contest against LSU.
His 32 points against the Tigers are the highest points scored by a State player under head coach Chris Jans. He also scored 26 points against the Florida Gators and 25 points against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Hubbard scores 29 points against Northwestern during the non-conference season, the most points scored by an MSU player since Tony Watts in 1989–1990.
Hubbard’s five games with over 20 points are tied for the nation’s lead and the most by a Bulldog since 1988–89, even more so than the single games.
In the Bulldogs’ most recent game against the Wildcats, Hubbard averaged three points, three assists, and a steal of a rebound per outing. This Tuesday at 6 p.m., these numbers will undoubtedly increase.
