ESPN REPORT: The North Carolina Tar Heels football Head Coach is Been Fired Due to….

Head coach Mack Brown of North Carolina didn’t hide his displeasure on Wednesday regarding NC State head coach Dave Doeren’s postgame celebration following the team’s victory over the Tar Heels last month.

Following the Wolfpack’s season-ending 39-20 victory against their opponents, Doeren said to his squad in the locker room, “It’s been 1,460 days since those pieces of s–t beat us.” But the ACC Network recorded his remarks, and it is understandable that Brown was upset that his players were being painted in such a negative light.

According to ESPN’s Andrea Adelson, Brown remarked, “I’ve never heard something like that before,” at his national signing day news conference. “I’m not happy. I considered it to be shabby. It is untrue. The game wasn’t played well by us. In the game, we didn’t coach very well. I understand that it’s been extensively documented, but you don’t call children pieces of s—t, and I’ve brought this up with our staff. I expressed my regret to them.

“These kids are one of the top academic groups in America,” Brown went on. Award for AFCA’s top 13 went to them. A Coastal division has been won by them. They have a ton of victories. They have attended five consecutive Orange Bowls. They speak for us. I can speak for them and their parents when I say that they truly didn’t like being called pieces of shit.”

Doeren apologized to Brown on Wednesday by phone, saying he didn’t know the cameras were in the locker room when he gave his postgame address.

“Obviously, if I knew I was on camera, my language would not have been what it was,” Doeren stated. Does it get better with them? No. I apologized over the phone to Coach because I could have used a lot more words. I was furious about our performance until they caught me in the heat of the moment celebrating a big victory in the locker room. Since I respect the coach, I didn’t want him to feel that way. Again, this isn’t an excuse, but it also shouldn’t have been broadcast on television.”

On December 27, Brown will lead UNC against West Virginia in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl; the next day, Doeren and NC State will play Kansas in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
