The Warriors have welcomed back Andrew Wiggins From NIners nation…
SAN FRANCISCO Andrew Wiggins, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, will play against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday after sitting out the previous four games.
Wiggins returned to the Bay Area on Monday, having been abroad for a week attending to a personal family problem. He was cleared to play after making his way back to team facilities on Tuesday, according to Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
Following practice on Tuesday, Wiggins remarked, “I felt like I had to take care of what I had to take care of, be present for that, and then when I think it’s an appropriate time to come back.” “I’m back here with the team and ready to get to it.”
Wiggins maintained communication with both Kerr and head team trainer Rick Celebrini during his absence.
Wiggins stated on Tuesday that while the circumstances that led to his time loss remain unresolved, he is handling things day by day.
With Wiggins out, the Warriors went 3-1. On Wednesday, he will play the first of three games in four nights at home. According to Kerr, Wiggins is probably going to reclaim his starting position, pushing Moses Moody back to the bench.
Kerr stated, “Moses will continue to get time.” “He deserves it. He has been acting with such professionalism ever when he first entered this facility. I can’t wait to continue gaining him some time.”
Before playing again in the postseason, Wiggins missed 25 games in the previous campaign due to a personal issue.
“The basketball doesn’t matter to me. The game is not nearly as essential as life,” Kerr remarked. “The main thing is if any of our players have a life situation where they need to be with their family, then that’s where they’re going to be.”
Wiggins is averaging 12.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 27.2 minutes per game for Golden State through 51 games this season.

At 01:39 PM ET on March 5, 2024
The Miami Heat and free-agent guard Patty Mills have reached an agreement for the remainder of the season, sources informed ESPN on Tuesday.
Before being waived, Mills participated in 19 games with the Atlanta Hawks this season. He is qualified to play for the Heat in the postseason.
Mills offers the Heat’s point guard depth and a wealth of postseason experience. Mills, 35, has participated in 95 postseason games over his 15-year NBA career. The San Antonio Spurs team of 2014, which defeated the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, included Mills.
Miami is now 7th in the Eastern Conference with a 34-26 record.
As a career 39% three-point shooter, Mills has established himself as one of the league’s top leaders and teammates. In 2022, he was awarded the NBA’s Sportsmanship Award.
In the market for free agency buyouts, the Heat also acquired Delon Wright.
