Josh Drinkwater, a star player for the Warrington Wolves, has a “pretty delicate” injury, according to Sam Burgess.

Josh Drinkwater, a halfback, has an injury timeline that head coach Sam Burgess of the WARRINGTON WOLVES has described as “pretty delicate.”

Drinkwater was not present for the Wolves in their match against Hull KR last night. Prior to the game, Burgess provided an update on the Australian playmaker’s health and the reasons the team is not pushing him too hard in his recuperation.

“They’re pretty delicate things because he has a quad strain, and Josh is a pretty delicate player—he’s a halfback!” stated live on Sky Sports, Burgess.

“We won’t push him too hard as they can reoccur if you push them too early,” the doctor said. “It will be three to four weeks.”

Warrington still lacked players like Rodrick Tai, Matty Nicholson, and Stefan Ratchford.
