ESPN REPORT: The head coach of the Nottingham Forest F.C. is fired because of…

After more than two years in charge of Nottingham Forest, Steve Cooper was fired as manager.
Through the Championship play-offs, the Welshman helped Nottingham Forest advance in May 2022. Since then, he has worked with club owner Angelos Marinakis to bring in 44 players across three transfer windows.
With just one victory in their previous 13 games, Forest are in 17th place in the Premier League after a string of poor performances that led to the 44-year-old’s dismissal.

“We at Nottingham Forest would like to express our gratitude to Steve for his outstanding support of our football team. According to the Forest website, owner Evangelos Marinakis stated, “His accomplishment in leading Forest back to the Premier League will surely remain an iconic moment in the club’s history.”

“We thank Steve for his dedication and commitment during his time with us, as well as the incredible connection he forged with our supporters and the city of Nottingham.”Steve will always be welcomed at The City Ground and will always be a friend of the club. We hope he succeeds in all of his future endeavors.”

Forest is currently just five points above the relegation zone, having only gained one point in their last six games. Luton has a game in hand and are currently in 18th place with nine points.
According to a club statement, Cooper’s replacement would be revealed in “due course,” with Nuno Espirito Santo, a former manager of Wolves and Tottenham, allegedly in serious discussions.

After spending four years with Wolves, the Portuguese manager—who had previously held managerial positions at Rio Ave, Valencia, and Porto—saw the team promoted to the Premier League, record two straight seventh-place finishes, and go to the Europa League quarterfinals.
