Report: The St. Louis Key Player is Being Suspended From All Sports For Placing a Bet Against……………
St. Louis youth football coach Shaquille Latimore was no stranger to the wrath of disgruntled families. According to The Washington Post, he typically brushes off parents who are upset about a roster selection or who are advocating for their kids’ playing time. And, he claimed, the arguments, frustrating as some of them were, never got any farther than that.
Then, he said, Latimore got into a fight with a father whose kid Latimore had benched in a game during a practice in a park in St. Louis early in October. There was shooting at the conclusion.
Latimore and a probable cause statement for Clemmons claim that the father, Daryl Brian Clemmons, shot Latimore multiple times because he was angry that his son wasn’t starting for the squad.
Latimore told The Post, “I’m honestly still in disbelief,” despite suffering major injuries.
Clemmons’s attorneys declined to comment. Clemmons is being held on felony counts of first-degree assault and armed criminal conduct. According to Clemmons’s lawyer and family members, Latimore started the fight, and Clemmons shot the coach in self-defense, local news station KSDK 5 said.
When Clemmons was shot, Latimore disputed that he was posing a threat to him.
While the incident gained widespread publicity, Latimore was admitted to the hospital and his squad, the Bad Boyz, who were 9 and 10 years old, dealt with the trauma of the shooting. The Bad Boyz suffered another blow when Latimore was discharged from the hospital last week: the shooting had terminated the team’s season. The Bad Boyz play in a recreational youth football league controlled by the city of St. Louis, which decided to keep Latimore’s squad out of the playoffs.
Latimore remarked, “Those kids don’t deserve that.”
Latimore’s squad was suspended as a result of “a series of incidents perpetuated by adults,” according to a statement released by St. Louis spokesperson Nick Dunne, which resulted in the shooting.
“The recreation division of the City of St. Louis is dedicated to making sure our kids have a safe space to play sports and interact with others,” Dunne stated.
Latimore stated that he saw coaching as an opportunity to give back because he grew up playing football in the same recreational league in St. Louis as his players.
Latimore remarked, “That’s what somebody did for me when I was little.”
Latimore claimed that he changed the starting defense lineup for the Bad Boyz when he joined the squad about two years ago, which led to some complaints from parents whose kids saw less playing time. But before this year, none had progressed to violence. Clemmons’s son started for the Bad Boyz, according to Latimore, but he was benched after just one game. Latimore later claimed that Clemmons and him had a disagreement on the choice.
According to Latimore and court filings, Clemmons and he were both there during a Bad Boyz practice held at a park in St. Louis on October 10, which was more than a week after the game. Latimore reportedly approached Clemmons in the park, according to court documents. According to court filings, Latimore pulled out a gun and handed it to someone else to handle. Latimore was unarmed when Clemmons shot him. The team practices in a nasty park, according to Latimore, who told The Post that he carries a revolver for safety.
In an interview with KSDK 5, Jason Clemmons, Daryl Clemmons’s brother, claimed that Latimore started a fistfight with his brother after transferring his gun to a buddy. Latimore then requested his gun back during the altercation, and according to Jason Clemmons, Daryl Clemmons fired a self-defense shot at Latimore as he was handing the rifle back to him.
