Eagles linebacker Baun, Zack All set to ‘Play Wherever, Do Whatever’

Linebacker Zack Baun of the Philadelphia Eagles signed a free agent early and is a core-four special teams player who may also be used as a backup pass rusher.

PHILADELPHIA: Zack Baun was asked, “Exactly what are you?” one time.

He replied, “I think I truly can do a lot of different things.”

Following his early-season signing of a one-year contract worth $1.2 million, Baun held his introductory press conference on Thursday at the Philadelphia Eagles’ NovaCare Complex. The Eagles signed Devin White, a linebacker—another of those various things Baun claimed he could do—shortly after he spoke with reporters.

The problem is that he could be more effective as a pass rusher from an off-ball linebacker position, which is what the New Orleans Saints saw him start to do towards the end of last season. He was comparable to Haason Reddick in certain aspects, who started.

He remarked, “I’m not really sure about the plan, but I think I can do both at a high level because I have a lot of experience doing both.” “I’m curious to see how the coaches choose to use my skill set and where I get to play. I’m willing to play anywhere and do anything.
