If Giles reaches the Braves roster, he will be paid $1.75 million, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

From 2018 to 2020, the 33-year-old right-hander played in 78 games and made 38 saves while spending a portion of three seasons with Toronto.

During the 2018 season, Toronto acquired Giles as part of a trade that sent Roberto Osuna to the Houston Astros. After making 14 saves in that season, Giles had a stellar 2019 season, finishing with 23 saves in 44 appearances and a 1.87 ERA.

After suffering from injuries the next season, he played in just four games before having Tommy John surgery in September 2020, which allowed him to sign a free agent contract and leave the Jays.

Despite not pitching in MLB the previous season, he made a comeback to the major leagues in 2022 with the Seattle Mariners.

Giles has pitched 355.1 innings over his career, recording 115 saves and 484 strikeouts. His ERA is 2.71.
