Report: The Kansas City Chiefs Sign Ex-Philadelphia Eagles Star Player For 2 Years Deal…

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles formally added players from both Super Bowl rosters and made two roster adjustments.

In addition to bringing in former Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Darian Kinnard, the Eagles have signed running back Tyrion Davis-Price of the San Francisco 49ers to a contract. Davis-Price signed a reserve/future contract, and Kinnard probably signed a comparable one, despite the lack of an official report.

After a four-year career at Kentucky, Kinnard was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (at pick No. 145 overall) in 2022. Despite playing in just one game as a rookie, Kinnard won a Super Bowl. Before earning his second ring earlier this month, he was on the practice squad for the entirety of 2023 and spent the majority of the previous season on injured reserve.

Over the course of his 46 games at Kentucky, Kinnard started 39 straight games. In his final season, he was unanimously selected to the First Team All-American.

With Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson as the starting tackles, Philly needs depth at the position, especially because Jack Driscoll may be leaving in free agency. This offseason, Jason Kelce is expected to retire from the Eagles, leaving a big void on the offensive line.
