There is nothing that could get him fired at this point. Hes done the as much as he can with very little cap space, brought in guys at the deadline all 3 years, then its up to the players, not him. And he got those deadline pieces without giving up any of the core of young players on the team and on the farm. He made one bad trade, Buch for Blais and even that was a salary dump, but should have held on to him until the deadline and then got the most for him. But, then again, I am not privy cap reasons or any other reasons, but on its face a really bad trade, but thats it. He has been patient, hasnt panicked, hasnt been robbed at the deadline and has hired 2 good coaches for where the team was at the time. Anyone who thinks Drury should be fired is nuts. Ive been a fan for 46 years, and have seen guys make bad trade after bad trade, just to make a trade, his patience is just another reason why is the guy for this period anyway.
