Coach Stefanski of the Browns fires coordinator Alex Van Pelt and two other assistants, reorganizing the offensive staff.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Coach Kevin Stefanski of the Browns has made significant offseason staff changes for the second year in a row.

After a season marred by injuries and only a few days after Cleveland was humiliated by Houston in the wild-card round, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt has left the team.

It was confirmed on Wednesday by a team spokesman that Van Pelt is no longer with the Browns. Additionally, Stefanski dismissed T.C. McCartney, the tight ends coach, and Stump Mitchell, the running backs coach, after their contracts expired.

Staff evaluations are still being held by the Browns, so the shakeup may not be finished.
