“We are aware of Abdul Carter’s accusations. These claimed behaviors won’t stand in for the principles and expectations of our program, and they will be dealt with. Since this is still a pending legal matter, we will not be making any more comments,” a Penn State representative stated in a statement.
According to Statecollege.com, the police complaint claimed that Carter was seen on camera “controlling the victim with one arm over the top of the victim’s shoulder while his other hand is holding his sweatshirt.” The following day, the driver was diagnosed with a non-displaced rib fracture, as per the affidavit that Statecollege.com was able to get.
The court documents state that the incident happened on March 16. Carter participated in Beaver Stadium’s Blue-White Game on April 13. Carter was selected to the Big Ten first team defense in 2023 and has been an All-Big Ten pick twice.
