Jordan Clark, a midfielder for Luton Town, is adamant that his club still thinks it can survive.
Everton and Nottingham Forest have moved ahead of the recently promoted team in the league standings, making them the heavy favorites to fall.
Clark said they will try their hardest to rescue themselves till the last game of the season, even though there is very little possibility of avoiding the drop.
“We were written off from the start of the season, we’ve had that tag all season, so obviously they’ll probably write us off even more after this and the Man City game last week,” he said in a statement posted to the team’s official Twitter page.
- Giving up a lot of goals in two games is not good, but Luton Town does just that—we show a lot of people wrong while maintaining complete faith in the team as a whole.
That was a little bit of a kick in the ass, but we simply need to grow up and act like men. We are aware that the games are growing shorter, that next week is crucial, and that we must win three points.”
