Edwards advises Luton Town to disregard the relegation struggle
As Luton Town gets ready for another crucial match against Wolves, Rob Edwards is eager for them to put the attention surrounding them in the relegation struggle aside.
After losing 5-1 to Brentford and Manchester City in back-to-back games, the Hatters are now one point above the drop zone.
Burnley defeated Sheffield United last weekend to go two points behind Luton, while Nottingham Forest also suffered a loss, falling to Everton 2-0.
“The stakes are high already, we all know what it means and it’s really important to everyone that’s in this at the moment, a number of clubs that are still fighting to try and avoid it and be in the league next season, it’s so important,” Edwards responded when asked how he is handling the pressure of the relegation battle with just four games remaining.
I believe that everyone wants to try to fan the flames. We have a race for the title at one end and, naturally, a relegation fight at the other. Though it’s exciting and fantastic that we’re in the fight and have a chance to win, my main concern at the moment is how we’ll play today.
