Edwards, the Luton manager: We should be grateful to still be in the relegation battle.
As Luton battles to avoid relegation, Rob Edwards, the team’s manager, says he is concentrating on performance.
On Saturday, the Hatters go to Wolves.
Edwards stated: “It’s understandable that people become upset and worried; we’ve all experienced frustration and worry about certain issues, but in the end, we all need to try to take control of the things that we can, like our own football teams, clubs, and public personas.
Every statement that is made is subject to intense scrutiny. We need to attempt to exercise caution with it, as it will apply to whatever I say right now as well.”
Additionally, he stated: “There are a lot of clubs that are still fighting to try and avoid it and be in the league next season, so it’s really important. The stakes are high already. We all know what it means.”
I believe that everyone wants to try to fan the flames. In addition to the obvious relegation struggle we’re in, we have a race for the title at one end of the field. Though it’s exciting and advantageous that we are in the fight with a possibility to win, my main concern at the moment is how we will perform tomorrow.”
