Lee Ozmint, the head football coach at Arab High School and a former Glencoe head coach, announced his resignation on Friday. In order to accept the resignation, the Arab City Schools Board of Education convened on Friday and issued a statement via its legal counsel. “I can confirm that Coach Lee Ozmint tendered his resignation to the Arab Board of Education this morning, April 26, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m.,” said the statement. “In accordance with Alabama Code Section 36-25A-3, notice of the special meeting was given at 9:52 a.m. on April 26, 2024, by the Arab City Board of Education. The Board of Education convened at 11:00 am and approved the resignation.
